Growth and Positioning Strategies for Associations

Designed for “second in command” executives at mid- to large-sized DC Metro area associations.

tradeCreated in 2010, this forum for “second in command” executives at mid- to large sized DC Metro area associations is in its third year.

Participation

This forum is by-invitation-only and capped at approximately 20 members who make an annual commitment to each other to actively participate.  No vendors other than the facilitators from Vertical Leap Consulting and our alliance partners (limited to one or two per meeting).  While there is a one-year membership term, there are no dues or meeting fees.”

Timing & Location

This forum meets 3 times during the year for approximately 3 to 3.5 hours per meeting; generally beginning at noon.  These meetings are scheduled at the start of each year to avoid members’ annual meetings, etc.  Forum members rotate hosting the meeting and providing a simple lunch for the group.

Format

Peer dialogue format.  Members select 2 topics in advance of each meeting to have drill-down dialogue, and we reserve some time for “got to have it tomorrow” advice from the group.
